| Purple lines following mouse cursor in viewport
|
|
|
I don’t know exactly what I did to get these purple lines to follow the cursor, but what I do know is that it happened after I changed the renderer, or maybe it was the driver (i’m not sure right now what renderer or driver I chose). I was trying different settings in the menu Customize > Preferences, and restarted 3ds max 2009.
Can someone please help me in figuring out how to take out the purple lines from the cursor? These lines are making it a little annoying to work with my models in 3ds max.
Thank you, and if you look at the perspective view in my image with the purple lines (looks like a crosshair to me), you will also notice the FPS is over 950! Before I loaded my scene, the FPS was over 1000! Sorry, I just thought that was cool, because usually 3ds max runs really slow on me. When I had some other driver or renderer settings, it was so slow with the same scene as in the image, the FPS was down to 0.250 or something similar.
Again, thank you!

Thanks Samab, that fixed the problem. It was so obvious, I must have just hit that by mistake. I hadn’t reallized (until now, when you showed me), that I had that that box checked. You’re very good at helping on this whole site it seems to me. You’re really smart too, and you are like a super hero to 3d animators, 3d modelers, and 3d artists in general. But that’s just what I think.
Oh, and here’s a screenshot of my model in 3ds max 2009, but for a split second, it had an FPS of over 1000! Wow!
I know it’s a simple model (for now), but as you might have guessed, I was starting to model a human head.
Thanks!
