Hi there,

I’m in my second year of uni now doing computer games design.
As the course is heavy on 3d max and maya rendering, and I know that maya can net render under linux, is this available in 2009 version of max or shall I just stop trying to find out?

Be nice to utilise all 8 cores aswell as my quad core pc.

Thanks again :)

3ds max is not available for Linux.

Not all processes in Max will use multiple cores.

If you are rendering with mental ray, it should use all 8.
