Hello Everyone,

I’m stuck.

I created a texture map for my unsmoothed model using the Unwrap UVW Modifier but when i put a Turbosmooth on top I get some distortion in my texture. Could someone please tell me what i’m doing wrong. Should I collapse the turbosmooth down then do the mapping on a smoothed model?

Thanks

Try moving the UVW Map modifier to the top of the stack…

Alas, that’s one of the problems with turbosmooth/meshsmooth, you’re not doing anything wrong. There are a few tricks that work in some situations, personally I’d either add a second UVWUnwrap at the top of the stack and manually fix the problem areas, or use techniques that don’t require unwrapping, but instead projections using the UVWMap modifier.
