I used to be able to do this but now for some reason i can’t and i don’t know what i changed.

Ok, when unpacking my UVW map i used to be able to take each individual poly without hitting break and take it away without the other mesh following. I don’t know what has happened since then and i really liked it that way better. Does anyone know what i have to do to get that to change back so when i click an individual poly I don’t have to hit break every time?

Select all of the UV vertices (not UV polys), go to Tools menu in Edit UVW’s window and choose “Break”. Now go back to UV Poly mode, and you should be able select individual polys and move them around independent from the rest of the mesh.

The only way you could do this without doing the above step is if your mesh was already an open mesh where polys (not UV polys) are detached from each other and vertices are not welded. Open edges in meshes will have automatic UV seams.
