You probably don’t have the vray version corresponding to your max version

Obtaining the license for Max or Vray?

Either way, that message usually indicates you don’t have a license, or the installation is wrong and whichever program is throwing the error may have been installed for a network license.

Or, you may need to buy the license.

Try this:
goto your max/plugins directory and search for
- vrayraw2009.bmi
- vrender2009.dlr
- and the subdirectory “vrayplugins”
-> delete them

Then go to the plugcfg directory and search for
- vray_presets_file.cfg
- vray_dr.cfg
-> and delete them.

Then go to the max root directory and search for
- vray2009.dll
- vrayspawner2009.exe
-> and delete them.

Now there is a good chance that the error are gone.
Good luck.
