This happens occasionally; but suddenly in this project it is happening in several places: I type in 10’0”, hit Enter, and it changes to 9’12”.  Say whaaa?  According to my Units dialog, my scene accuracy should be 0’0.0000001192”, so how can this be a rounding error?

I commonly get 4’ 11 7/8” when typing in 5’ 0”.  Since you are working in decimals, and it’s only showing tenths, I wonder if it is rounding up, and the actual value is 9’ 11.96” or something like that.

Interesting:
- if I type 10’ it changes to 9’12.0”
- if I then type 10’0.001” it stays as 10’0.001”
- and if I then type 10’ again, it changes to 10’0.001"…
!!!
Jeez; so much for accuracy!

Try working with fractional dimensions. In 32nds everything is reported with 32nds...11/32, 12/32, 13/32, 14/32 etc… pretty annoying.

As odd as it is, I think Chris’s thought makes sense… it’s rounding at the decimal… but I don’t know why it’s not indicating that it’s rounded to the foot when it obviously did.  See if adjusting the decimal precision changes those displays to reveal more info.

Maybe your feet are bigger than mine. ;)
