If you are having error messages and close of application when you use the title bar or the top drop down boxes and you have Stardocks windowblinds installed and in-use this problem will shut-down,3Ds Max 2010 uses the top bar for the searchbox.

Well… That is good to know. Personally if windowblinds is causing this kind of problem, I would uninstall and not look back.
