Hi,

Today, I start my computer and want to start Max. I’ve seen the Splash screen, loading some components… ‘til biped.dlc and disappear (crash). I don’t get even the Report Error Window… Nothing. Has someone an idea? Yesterday works perfectly, and nothing has changed on the system (XP 32bit).

What I’ve already try:
- all uninstall
- re-install Max
- latest hotfix 2009.05.19

always the same result… help please!

Try renaming your 3dsmax.ini. See the last-but-one post in this thread for details on finding it.

Max 4.2 through 2013.
XP-64 (SP2)
NVidia 9800GTX-512 (Driver 266.58).
Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz, 8Gb Ram, DX9.0c.

I try (rename and delete the 3dsmax.ini file), but… the same result :’(
Thanks for the idea… still waiting/searching for the solution.

I get it:
- uninstall Max
- new user account
- install Max

That’s the way it works again.

For all the people with the same problems just erase the biped.ini and the program on start will create a new one and will fix the problem. Why this file get corrupted is a mistery to me.
