After some years working on real time , still has a lot of doubts about baking with max .

The more fidelity i have find on baking is radiosity “obsolete” technology .

mental ray : Louis Marcoux have a very good chapter into baking with mental ray on a book of
3dats , and works , but go to a own scene to bake an interior with daylight , and lightmaps ,
become disaster . still i havent had a good result with mental ray , AO maps even using
high quality configuration , are noisys . Still is a mistery for me how to bake profesional
maps with mental ray , i dont understand why is not fidelity with the prove camera renders
done before baking .

Then , on the expirience of others , what do you think is the better GI render engine for
baking every type of maps ?? i refer to fidelity between what you see when making camera
renders , and the maps baked .
