So it appears I’m having the same issue many others have with Max not playing audio clips. I’ve searching far and wide for solutions but have hit a brick wall. Basically whenever I load a sound clip in to max, I can see the waveform on the timeline just fine, but I can’t hear anything. The sound plays just fine in all other applications, and I can even hear it even when I export the file directly from Max. It’s a basic waveform file--WAV 44000 16 bit. “Realtime” is active. I’ve even tried playing it via my soundcard (Creative SB X-FI) as well as the integrated audio. Still nothing. If somebody has an inkling about what might be going on here, please throw me a life-raft… I am seriously about to have a mental breakdown here… I’ve been working on this problem for hours now no with luck at all. :-[

One more thing: I did actually install the K-Lite_Codec_Pack_800_Mega recently. Not sure if that would have anything to do with this...just throwing it out there
