Hi guys;

sometimes I have some problems with aspect of viewports specially when I change Lighting and Shadows settings..

as you can see in the attachments in a particular scene when I was switching viewports, selected viewport was becoming over-bright;
in another scene that I’m working on it right now when I miniimize the camera viewport it becomes sunless!

in the attachments you can see the Lighting and Shadows settings in the scenes.
is it a Bug?!

Have some patience… you can’t expect replies instantly.

It’s hard to say what exactly the problem is with your scene.  I currently am working on a file that was previously started in a prior version of Max that has a similar issue.  Even in wireframe mode, the objects sometimes appear to be “lit” by scene lights, even though it’s set to Use Default Lights.  Usually, if I reselect Default Lights, it fixes it until I minimize/maximize the view.  It also happens with Smooth and Highlights shading.  I haven’t tried HW shading because there are too many lights in the scene.

Does this happen with ALL scenes, or just this one in particular?  If it’s all scenes, it may be due to your video card and it’s drivers.  Maybe a different driver would help?  I can’t guarantee it.  But as in my case, it’s pretty file specific so there seems to be something in the file that makes the display act strangely.

Thanks Chris,
I’ve created my scene originally in 3ds max 2010.

not in all scenes but I saw this issue in many scenes (plus these two examples) and I’ve tried to disregard that but lastly it tried me!

ok, thanks for your help,
any suggestions are welcome..

I have this problem often.  Sometimes I can temporarily fix it by toggling viewport default lighting and then back.
