Hello,

I need to cover a body (like at a crime scene) with a cloth that fits around the body relatively closely/tightly. I have very little experience in modeling soft things. What is the best way to do something like this? Something in Reactor? Not real sure what to do/use. Is there some way to start with a high-poly plane and then drape it over my human body model?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

That is done with reactor cloth modifier; read about it into the Help.
It is not perfect and is not very reliable; all depends of what precision you are after. One can get better results using Garment Maker and Cloth; make a search in the Help and find tutorials there are some shipping with max, follow them and look around for another if needed.
