Hi friends,

I´m working on an architectural project and the file size increases every time i save a new copy.
It´s with 800mb now, and it should be with 200mb, just like another project very similar.

i tried invoking the gc() command in the maxscipt listener (this is supposed to force the garbage collection utility, max somehow forgets this when it runs out of memory) but nothing happened. it used to be the solution in earlier versions, when a file size increases unreasonably.

hope anyone out there can help us out with this problem.. our deadline is fast approaching and the file is becoming difficult to manage and edit.

thanks!
Daniel

There are several threads on this bug. Try searching “file” “size” “bloat”—I think that combination should narrow it down.

The first thing to try is start a new project and import all the existing (bloating) project. Sometimes that will fix it.
