Hi, I am a Architectural 3D Modeler. Just now we installed 3DS Max 2010 after a few days the Arch&Design Material is not working when i select rough concrete or satin wood finish or anything its not coming....

I am in middle of a project so I don’t want to re-install 3DS Max. Could anyone suggest to solve this problem?

Find this file (See Attachment), must be not bigger than the one in the image
and must be from the same date as all the others. If not, it is corrupt (rewritten).
Copy the file from someone else, delete the old one and past the new one there.
All this done right click and make it “read only” in the property menu to avoid
issues like this in the future.

You are welcome Senthil.
Did you make it “Read-only”?
Also it is a good idea to have copy of all these files somewhere else. ;-)

Material Problem (Arch&DesignMaterial templates) thread!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I have the same problem as you described, but I cannot replace the file “mrArch_DesignTemplates.mat” with new ones, because I haven’t another installed application.
I can’t re-install 3DSMax 2010, because I have Vue xStream and CraftAnimations DirectorStudio plugins installed. It is time consuming!
- Can give me your “mrArch_DesignTemplates.mat” file (not re-written, not corrupted) Dated 12/03/2009 ?
Thanks you very much!
Horsepower.
