I’m trying to do the tutorial for modeling where you make the p-38 plane.

I place the background images like it says (left, top and front). I pan and zoom to get the plane to fit the box. Then when I “Lock Zoom/Pan” the image shifts. How do I stop it from shifting?

select all the plames use the right or left mouse button use the drop down menu and choose freeze selection max will freeze the planes so that the image will not move about.

before you do this make sure you have have show frozen in gray uncheck selection all the planes one by one do the same as a above apart from freeze selection go use the drop down menu and choose properties under the display list you will display show frozen in gray uncheck that. because max sometimes grays out the image. now do what i said above, to un freeze all just use the mouse button use the drop down menu and choose unfreeze all
