Max gives the following error on trying to render any elements.

Error creating the render elements(s)

“The path of the following render elements have either an illegal character in its path or filename or the path doesn’t exist.”

The path is the same as /renderoutput. Am I doing something wrong , or is it supposed to be this way ?

What is the full path it’s using?  Not the relative path, but the full path.  I’m wondering if there is a non-english character in there that it doesn’t like…

same problem too i thought it was gone with 2011 but apparently it stills there...hence the render elements works well with a new scene simple teapot and light under mental ray with AD material but with animation and other scene the message shows up
