I have a cityscape with about 314,000 verts that won’t render with either mr or Skanline. When I click on Render, the Rendering statistics box appears but the rendering process doesn’t start. If Reset, the Rendering statistic box is in the blank scene. It doesn’t go away. To get it to go away I have to shut down Max and restart it. Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the render is choking on something in the scene, going into an infinite (or very long) loop, or just hanging.  Can you isolate the problem by hiding part of the scene and trying to render?  Or hiding objects with certain materials?  Or turning off certain lights?

I deleted some of the buildings in the scene and it worked. I’m still not sure what the problem is.
But thanks.
