A couple of days ago I installed the Creative extension for Max Design 2010, & today I’ve noticed that my Snap Toolbar is no longer working properly.  Upon noticing this I brought up the snap dialog to see why, & sure enough the buttons on the toolbar no longer correspond to the the check boxes of the Snap Dialog; basically, they are out of alignment.

I’m attaching an image that shows an example, but in the image I only checked the first two buttons to show that they are not showing up; however, if one was to check other buttons within the Snap Toolbar he or she would notice that the button or buttons they select do not match up with the Snap Dialog Box.

At this point I’m not really sure if it’s the extension that caused it, but it is very strange that I did not have any problem until then.  Either way, does anyone know how to fix this problem without me having to reset my whole UI?  Plus, there is no guarantee that reseting the UI will or will not fix this problem.

You realize you posted this to Max 2009 forum, right? :) Maybe an Admin can move it…

But I can confirm this behavior.  I normally don’t use the Snap toolbar, so never noticed it.  Post in the Suspected Bugs thread (in 2010) and do a Defect Report

Moved from Max2009 - please choose the most appropriate forum for your threads. Thanks.

I do use the Snaps Toolbar a bit, but I have no need of the Connection Extension so I haven’t installed it.

Has anyone tried uninstalling it? Does the uninstall correct the problem - i.e. put the toolbar (and the snap settings dialog) back to normal?
I don’t fancy screwing up my install just to test this.
