I am new to max 2010 and i am having a minor problem.
The problem I am having is, I can not get a certain image I want to show up as VP BG. Whenever I try, the image shows up in vpbg dialog but after clicking okay all that appears in the viewport is a solid white plane with no image. I have tried the image with different color and even transparent background but still get the same result. The image I am trying to use is 8 bit rgb jpg.If anyone could help with this it would be greatly appreciated.
thank you.

How large is the image?  I know Max can choke on images that are too big, but it usually gives you a message saying the image will take up a lot of memory and ask if you want to continue.

Are you sure the image is not corrupt?  I’m guessing you are able to open and view it otherwise.
