Hi,

I am rendering a scene for a 3D animation, so I have a left eye camera (LE) and a right eye camera (RE).  At one point in my animation I show a screen showing a 3D movie, so I need the LE camera to see the left eye image and the RE camera to see the right eye image.

There doesn’t seem to be a way in Max 2011 to make the LE camera only see the left eye material (and same for the right eye).  I am currently manually changing the material but with the number of tests etc I know I’m going to get confused and mess up if I can’t simplify this process.

Does anyone here know of a way to make the LE camera see one thing and the RE camera see another - I can set this up via visibility (two objects, each visible to only one camera) or materials (separate materials or material IDs)?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Kelly

script it?
use scene states.. ?

there are any number of ways to control visibility of objects automatically. If I understand your question correctly
