:( no need for that… :) you’ll be happier once you do it… get rid of that “Ti” card… I am sure users with that card will disagree.... but get yourself something more mainstream what most users are using without problems. Don;t get AMD/ATI either...you’ll miss out with iRay etc. at least get a GTX 560 or higher with 1GB and higher...the more ram u can afford the better. also the higher bit.

the higher the rating the better… just go down until you find one with a good price u can afford.
these aren’t necessarily the BEST ratings for 3ds max...probably games and the such...but gives u a good idea of 3d power vs taking a wild guess.
would be nice to see something like this but with 3d apps as the test benchmark...comparing geforce, quadros, ati/amds etc.
the GTX 560 (NON-Ti!!!!) is probably your best bang for the buck if your price is low like the 550ti crap. I think getting a GTX 580 or so is rediculous since the 600 series just came out and are about the same price and are SUPPOSED to be blazing better...but have to wait and see..as i think users are having probs with them and max.
