Thank you guys. I was able to get back to the farm and installed 3ds max on the render nodes and it now shows up in the assignment screen.

Thank you all for your help.  I was able to do a test render across a couple of the machines.  I have another question though?  Is there a way to have a network drive with all of the materials libraries and tell the render nodes to look there for the information?

The most reiliable way is to use UNC paths for all maps and other files referenced by the scene.
For example make your “Maps” directory shared on the network, then refer to each map like this:-
\\ComputerName\Maps\SubFolder\FileName.jpg
Another way it so create a network drive with the same letter on each machine, Eg: X:\Maps
On a larger farm it’s best to store the maps on a file server.

I have also combined my BB Manager to host the Maps…It is NOT a BB Server however, that is too much and can cause problems. It is running Windows Server OS and I have up to 30 BB Servers hitting it at a time. That is where all the rendered frames are saved too.
