I noticed the docs setup has changed to an online format. I’m not saying I don’t like the new docs… at least they are consistent with Mudbox (and probably others) now… and the MAXScript docs now feel similar to the main docs… which is kind of cool. They will take some getting used to, though…

But I do still like having the local compiled html (CHM) help files… especially when I’m on my laptop and offline. I could not find any… am I missing something?

I’m sure that Autodesk learns more about user’s by having the docs online (like what confuses people most… what people search for most, etc)… but there is still reason to provide the local files (as example above… not to mention speeds of doc response isn’t determined by network traffic and server load).

Well I answered my own question… there is an offline installer… found them for download at http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/ser...=16450752&linkID=10809867 .

There’s one for tutorials too, but none that I can find for the Maxscript help :(

I too can’t find the offline MAXScript docs… which is actually more important to me than the normal 3ds docs… :(
