I have used panorama exporter with huge success.
It renders easily six views and join them in one final image, wich
you can view it with quicktime or other software.

My problem is that my client demands very high resolution
of the panorama.

It’s not possible to let my pc rendering six very high
resolution images without stopping in one single panoramic image.
It requires a week!!!

My question is:

Is there a way to render each of these panoramic images individually?
One image one day, another image after two days ecc…
And then with another software to join them all together
in one panoramic image?

thank you

İf you are using mental ray you can use “wrap around camera shader” with “region render” to render a single equirectangular image (it will be tricky to match border of render regions so it would be wise to render owerlapping images). Than you can use a software like easypano to display this equirectangular image as 360º spherical environment.

s.nanook you just saved me.

this is exactly what I want to do.

So...I render as many regions I want and then
merge them into Photoshop.

Then the final image I open it with pano2vr (or similar) and…

voila’!

:)

thank you.
you are a 3ds max master.

take care.
thank you again.

:(

hmmm..finally I didn’t succeed to archive any result nanook…

I have insert the 20000x10000 resolution with the camera shader on.
In every render region window, mental ray always came up
with a memory error…

So I guess the panorama exporter is the only solution and
my pc working non stop for one week or more…

anyway thanks again
