When I try to import a 3d project made with Autocad 2013 in 3dsMax, it says me that "the drawing you have opened contains custom objects created by unavailable ObjectDBX application. I've tried to download some objects enablers, but it continues not to work. If I try to skip, the model result completely deformed. What could be the problem? Should I try to download 3ds Max 2013? I simulated it using mass FX and particle flow. I will import it to After Effects, add finishing touches and render out a super slow mo clip like you would see on Discovery HD or Time Warp. In essence, I want it to look like it was shot on a high speed camera. I tried a test render out of max at 960 fps and importing into AE at 25fps but the results aren't quite white I want. I would like to bake a diffuse texture from one object (LOD 0) ,and then, map this texture on an object (LOD 1)... When mapped on an object, baked diffuse texture looks different than original diffuse texture (looks like the "ambient" colors on baked texture differs from original one). see the attached file please. My environment and effects settings are default (shortcut "8" in 3ds max) My gamma settings are default (gamma 2.2) Renderer Default Scanline Render Setup - default settings Render to Texture settings are default. Standard Materials I play with the settings in Render to texture window (lighting, shadows on/off), in Environment and Effects window - global lighting - play with ambient color, also tried to change exposure control, but i didnt reach my goal. Even when we trying to reconfigure the shortcut, no change are made. I've been googling a lot but the answer are not satisfy. But every time you make a new object, you'll have to repeat the same process. The real answer you'll get are in DisplaySeeThroughCase2.png , as the real problem were in the Preference Setting that make every created new object are default [by layer] ,not [by object]. I've applied the skin modifier to my mesh, but every time I click on "Edit Envelopes," my select, rotate, and scale tools grey out - and my move tool is active (no matter which tool I had activated beforehand). I can still paint weights, but the way I prefer to work is to select vertices and use the weight tool. Is there a check box I need to check somewhere? Or uncheck?
