How do I set a dynamic mesh (ex: character skin) as a collusion object for a mass fx cloth?

You need to make your character a ragdoll. Change the ragdoll from Dynamic to Kinematic so it does not collapse to the floor. Set “Shape” to Convex Hull in Bones Properties. Set mCloth to Dynamic.

Is it that complicated mate? I mean it gives very crappy results to.. what about cloth that covers up a surface that is not related to any character Hierarchy? like a surface with animated noise modifier on it.. how are we gna put a cloth on such surface? I get a feeling that this whole Mass thing is going to be a disaster if it goes like this..

So, we can’t use a skinned (and animated) character as collision for cloth?
Kinematic collision doesnt solve this.
I was hoping to use mCloth to make clothing, to crease nicely around the elbows and shoulders, with muscle deformation..
Without this collision type, mCloth is pretty useless to me.

Sad animator :(

Nah.. it is not a bug.. they say for Phys X doesn’t support dynamic meshes, so is massfx. fail!opening a new thread on this.

But we can use it for flags and inflated baloons… nice cloth solution!
