I’ve used VIZ for a few years and never came across this…
Last week I suddenly had all my objects appear differently in the view-port (in wire frame mode). For example, if I were to draw a cylinder, instead of only showing the basic shape (( circle @ top and bottom with connecting lines )) Its showing all the sub-surfaces like if the cylinder had 30 sides, it divides it up like a pie into 30 pieces along with each height segment (and sub-surface for each segment)

I use keyboard shortcuts a lot so I assume I accidentally turned something on and can’t figure out what it is.
Please help! =)
Thanks!

Customize => Preferences => Viewports tab, Configure Driver. Uncheck the “Display Wireframe Objects Using Triangle Strips.”
That should fix it.

I once had someone describe 3Dmax as being like hundreds of drawers that you open up only to find hundreds more inside, and even more inside those, etc… etc…
I deselected the “USE WIREFRAME FACES” checkbox and nothing happened, I restarted the app and still the same, I went back to the same dialog box and looked at it again, then deselected “DISPLAY ALL TRIANGLE EDGES” which fixed it!!
THANKS for getting me to the correct dialog box… Wierd thing is I’ve never even seen this one and I’ve used this for yrs now. Wonder how this setting got automagically changed??
Thanks again for your help!!
