Japanese Roof

i want to make a Japanese style roof in viz 08 like these

or some what like them. I am unsure about wat materials and setting i should use some1 plz help me

I would probably model the roof “straight” and then deform it with an FFD modifier.

between u and me i dont even know wat u are talking about im a high school student who is takeing a site design class and just started to us viz version 08

Well. then, you probably have some learning to do before you tackle such a complex model.  Starting simple is the best way to learn.

You can try to create a shape and extrude it. Then you can use a taper modifier to adjust a little the surface. It should be quite easy for a beginner like you.
