is there anyway to get light tracer in viz2008....the company i;m working for just bought it and i’m transfering all my max scenes i made to that app but we didn’t realise that viz2008 didn’t have light tracer
in the app before we bought it...which then means no matte materials either seeing as mental ray can’t use the max standard matte material..

any way round this?

can’t believe they pulled light tracer from viz without giving you a usable matte material in mental ray

annoying!

hmmm.
it’s pretty annoying that light tracer isn’t included - would have been really useful for quick daylight simulations for architecture etc. - surely this is the main client base for viz…
seems a bit daft to have left it out…

not to mention the lack of a 64 bit version…
