We purchased and activated VIZ 2008 after running it from a free 30 Day Trial Disk. Somehow we never received media from Autodesk other than the trial disk due to a series of messups by our dealer. We now want to uninstall and reinstall on a new workstation. I still have the trial disk. However, when I go to install, it asks for a “registration password” before proceeding with the install. As I recall the registration password was some simple word like “trial” or “password” whose purpose was really only to get you to register with a dealer (for marketing purposes) before running the trial version. So H’m not concerned with getting this puppy activatyed, but if anyone can help me get through the trial version password, or direct me to a site where I can download it, I would appreciate it.

i have never heard of the registration password
it shouldn’t be asking for any password when you install a autodesk product

It does ask for a password. See Attachment.

Yes. Rand/Imaginit. We ordered (and paid for) a single seat version. Autodesk sent to us by Fedex but the dealer had given them our old address and it was returned to Autodesk. We never were able to track it down so as an expedient measure the dealer said we could use and activate the trial disk which we did legally. And we never received “real” media from Autodesk.

No. I talked to Autodesk Authorization people and no problem. They can activate and authorize if I get in installed. The problem is getting through this marketing password (which only allows a 30 day install).
