Hi
I really need help for this one: I imported a block from Autocad to VIZ and each time I try to extrude it there is no face at the edge of it...........
‘’Cap end’’ and ‘’Cap start’’ are turned on, I just don’t know what to do!
Thanks

And I forgot to mention; is my problem related to the fact this is an ‘’Editable Spline” and is there a way to convert it to another type of line so I can extrude it properly.....
I’m a begginner on this program.
Thanks

Make sure the vertices of the spline are welded so that you have 1 continuous line before you extrude.
Max 4.2 through 2013.
XP-64 (SP2)
NVidia 9800GTX-512 (Driver 266.58).
Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz, 8Gb Ram, DX9.0c.

Ok, I see. In appearance the line are wielded together, even when I am zooming them in autocad… but If I make a polyline then it works....
Well, thanks

I actually meant you to weld then after you imported them, but fixing them in A/Cad works too :)

Assuming the the object imports as an Editable Spline, select it, go to the Vertex SubObject level, select all the vertices, on the Geometry rollout (on the Modify panel) there should be a Weld button.
I can’t be certain because I’ve never used Viz, but that is where it is in Max.
