I am having problems with Linking the DWG that I have exported from Revit Arch 2008 to Viz2008
First it would not hold the materials at reload, I then installed “HOTFIX3” Now I have object that I show up in the Object list, I can pick them but are invisible in the view and will not render. I have tried The normal modifier and attaching a two sided material. One thing that is important is we just upgraded Autocad to the 2008. So all our programs are the most current.

I had the same problem, but what is happening when you export your .rvt file to a .dwg file the accurender mapping materials are not carried over, therefor Viz shows these materials at their most simplistic forms, as in solid colors.  What you need to do is apply a bitmap to your objects, find your revit material library in your comp and then apply these maerials to the bitmaps then apply a UVW Map to this object that the bitmap was applied to and then mess around with the mapping coordinates until you are satisfied with its appearence.  Thats if your had the same problem as me..could you by chance attach an image so i can see what it looks like?
