Heres hopeing somebody has the answer im sure this is a simple fix I just cant find it.

Trying to import into viz 08 a DWG generated through mechanical desktop.

Importing the dwg using Autocad drawing gets me a wireframe of my model.......which is great except it should be solid.  No amount of tick box clicking on the import dialogue changes the result.

Importing using the legacy dwg import nets me a big fat zero with nothing importing.

Like I said im sure there is something simple i’m missing, this isnt the first dwg i’ve had to pull in...it just happens to be the first that doesnt work :)

Rob

Update:  Just double checked all the latest object enables are installed :/

Update; It appears our Drawing Office has upgraded accross the board to the latest version of inventor......so thatl be Acad mechanical and desktop 2009....which dont appear to be compatible with viz 2008.....My copy of viz is less than a year old am I allowed to be totally peeved with autodesk due to it being made unfreakin usable in less than 12months :(
