Hi
We forced to replace a Nvidia graphics card in one of our working PCs with an older Ati Radon HD 5670 but 3ds max isn’t detecting it right. Instead of detecting the HD 5670 it is detecting the onboard HD 3200 Chip. What can we do to let 3ds detect the right graphics card in this mashine? We have tried everything that came to mind, please help somebody.

Have you tried disabling the onboard chip in the Bios?
good luck

That was one of the first things i have tried but you can’t really disable the card, you only can set a priority order.

We have finally ordered a Nvidia Card. There was some incompatibility between the Mainboard and the ATI card. It looks like the drivers tried to activate crossfire between the onboard and the PCIE card.(at least the man from the Hardware store told that this could be the case on some older boards) With the new GeForce GTX 560 3ds runs great.
