For some reason and all of a sudden, I cannot access the Environment portion under the Render drop down in 3ds Max 8.  I tried to fix the problem with the install disc.  So then I uninstalled and re-installed the program.  Still cannot access it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is the wrong forum for that question as it’s not hardware / OS related. There’s a specific one for older versions (3ds Max through 2008).

Rename your 3dsmax.ini or edit it as per this thread. Ignore the link - the location was different in Max 8 (in the installdir IIRC).

Max 4.2 through 2014, Composite 2014.
