Hello.

I’m using 3ds max via parallels in iMac. Before everything worked just fine but after updating to OS X Lion everything chanced.

I usually use my IP address to access all the files (\\123.456.789.xxx or \\computerName) so when I’m using network rendering, all the computer can find the files. But now 3ds max can’t open any of the files. It just says something about permissions. I can copy all the files and open some images with photo viewer and with notepad, so the network is working fine. 3Ds Max is only program that can’t open files over network. If I copy the files to the Parallels hard drive it will open. Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong? I’ve tried to install Parallels, Windows and 3Ds Max many times without any help. So, your help would be nice!

Thanks

Mikko K.

Well, this is odd. I can import Illustrator files to Max, but not open .max files.

Also. When I copy the file to windows desktop and open it. Max can find all the textures from network. Only thing is that it can’t open what is inside the .max file.
