I know absolutely nothing about graphics cards and the idea of learning what card I need is giving me a headache…

Using it for 3ds MAX and Revit, is this a good card? ATI FirePro V5900 2GB DDR5 DVI/2DisplayPort PCI-Express Video Card ... I found it for $425 with free 2 day shipping on Amazon Prime.

FirePros and Quadros are worth of it for OpenGL;

If Revit is OpenGL and not DirectX - buy that, otherwise that will be waste of money
