I downloaded and installed 3ds Max and Autodesk Maya, both 2010. I have ever used the trials on this install of Windows, and when I try to run the programs, I keep getting “You must activate your <the product> license before you can use it. [License Status 2.10.0]” error message… I would love to use these fantastic products, but cannot because of this error…

In case your wondering, I did have a previous install of Windows, but this install is on a completely new Boot Camp partition.

The weird thing is, I can run it on the Mac OS X side, but not on the Windows side......

Any help would be useful and appreciated :)

Thanks!

You don’t get a trial license per boot partition: you get one trial per PC.

Your license has expired.

P.S.  Please read the forum rules: subjects need to be specific (not just “help"), and you should specify what hardware and OS you are running.

Thanks, and how can the software detect the same PC?

The licenses are tied to the MAC address of your network card.

Are they? Proof please (don’t bother - they aren’t). And even if they were, posting that kind of sensitive information is strictly against the rules because it would help potential hackers.
Please be a little more careful with your replies and consider the possible implications of posting such information.

I have proof that they arn’t tied to the MAC address; I can run Maya on the Mac OS X side of my iMac, but can’t on the Windows. If they WERE tied to the MAC address, then clearly I would not be able to run Maya on the Mac OS X side of my iMac. Other proof, I tried to “change” my MAC address, DID NOT work...... Think before you post:) Plus, DON’T LEAK security information!

My comment was aimed at Francois, not at you ;)
