Hello to everybody,

I have installed on my computer a trial version of 3DS design 2010 and the problem I have is that
when I am trying to import a dwg created with Architecture 2010 I get the following mesage

CAD DWG/DXF Import Problem
Unable to open:
here is the path of the file
The error code reported is eFileNotFound

The file I am trying to import is on a network drive and if I copy that file on my desktop it works.
Any ideas
Thanks alot!

Stelios

Two possibilities.
Firstly, the “R:” - mapped drives are not the best way to do this. Better to use UNC paths \\Server\drive\dir\dir\file
Secondly - Localisation. The trial is an English version and probably cannot handle cyrillic(?) characters in the path and/or file names. There are a few threads here regarding chinese characters causing similar problems. Try moving the files to a directory which has only english characters in the path.

Max 4.2 through 2013.
XP-64 (SP2)
NVidia 9800GTX-512 (Driver 266.58).
Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz, 8Gb Ram, DX9.0c.

I would like to help you for the reply.
The problem is the cyrilic characters in the path.
now works fine
