hi everybody,
I’m looking for a powerful notebook to use with 3DSMax 2009 and other programs (Adobe, CAD, etc.)
I don’t want to run any heavy renderings on it, I’ve a workstation and a render farm for this purpose.
I would use expecially in developing my 3D projects (sometimes very large projects).
What I would buy is a notebook/laptop with some of these specs:

- at least 15"/17" monitor ( no matter - I would use an external one)
- about 4Gb RAM
- T9400/9600/9800 Intel CPU (or better?)
- about 512 Mb Graphic Card (Nvidia?)

I had a look on the net but I’m quite confused. I don’t want to spend a huge amount of money for for example, an Alienware (my budget is about 2000€).

Do you think that a gaming notebook (like the ASUS G50VT) fits my needs?

Any suggestions are welcome.
