I just loaded up 2011, and noticed that there are material libraries on the DVD that are not installed. Did I miss something during installation? Same with the maps, there are tons in the sample area on the DVD. I guess I’ll manually copy them over to the drive, but was wondering if there was some reason they didn’t get installed.

The contents of the Samples DVD have never been installed automatically - you need to copy them manually if you want to make use of them.
Max 4.2 through 2013.
