I have just installed max 2010 64-bit on PC with windows 7 and it constantly crashes. Sometimes I can work for only 5-10 minutes, at the best up to 30 minutes without it crashing.
Error message is “unhandeled error”.

Does anybody have any suggestions or do I have to accept that max 2010 just does not work properly in windows 7 yet?

I should inform that so far I have been working on max 2008 files in max 2010. Could that possibly account for some of the errors? They are of course resaved in 2010 but still...?

FYI:
I have tried working only with files built in max 2010 as opposed to working with files originally buildt in max 2008 and I have little or no crashes with 2010 files and frequent crashes with 2008 files.
So it seems that Max 2010 do not handle 2008 files very well.
Whether or not this has any relation to the OS Windows 7 or just Max 2010 I do not know.
