I am moving to WIN XP Pro 64 bit. I currently have a license for 3ds Max 8, and Inventor 2008. Want to upgrade Inventor to 2010, but keep Max 8.
Can I port Max 8 to 64 bit OS using same disk, auth code and product key? How does this work?

Thank you,
Mike

Max 8 works fine here on XP64.

As for porting it, the correct way is to use the PLU. Find it on your Start menu, run it and read the help - it’s quite extensive. The procedure is quite straightforward for moving the licence from 1 machine to another.

Max 4.2 through 2013.
XP-64 (SP2)
NVidia 9800GTX-512 (Driver 266.58).
Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz, 8Gb Ram, DX9.0c.
