Hi

I’m running the 3ds max 2011 demo on an Imac intel i5 quadcore (i bought it yesterday!). I installed the software, no problem. I run it one time no problem. After restarting my computer and rebooting on Windows mode I get this error and I’m unable to load the software:
“The Software License Checkout Failed. Error 20”

I try many topics on the internet, tried many different methods without any success. I really want to use 3ds max, but I lost my mind on this problem (I pass 8 hours on it today)…

I uninstall it many times, even following the topic “clean uninstall”, but still problems… I know this problem was already post here but long time ago…

Please, Help me…
Thanks In advance
Ben

Uninstall/reinstall will not usually help with license issues, for obvious reasons. I would suggest you visit the Autodesk Installation and Licensing forums. There are no Autodesk staff here to help you, but there are on the other forums.

Check out the services running in Windows by entering in the task manager and then start the FLEXnet Licensing Service (64 in case you have 3ds max x64) and it will solve the problem.

I had the same issue and by starting that service 3ds max works again!
