Which is better....20 gig of registered or unregistered ram? I have read that is a good idea to have registered ram when you have a large amount in your computer. If I go with unregistered, am I asking for trouble?

Are you talking about Buffered memory...? Buffered/Registered is better and will protect you if you get errors but the computer will not boot or throw you an error, if an error exists.

If you are launching the space shuttle, you may need it...otherwise, IMHO no.

If you are talking about a Windows Server or finite element analysis, get the registered. Again IMHO.

Hmmm, well the space shuttles are officially retired. They may be up for sale soon on eBay.

Thanks

Let’s not put them in moth balls yet...2 left. Ask me about my time at the Grand Canyon over Thanks Giving last year some time… Hint: Captain Mark Kelly and his wife Rep. Gabrielle Giffords were there with some friends.
