we just received our copy of 3dsmax 2012 dvd from our reseller. Installation went fine and 3dsmax.mat was missing but I found it on autodesk.com.
But I couldn’t find anywhere textures/maps images. It is used to be in maps directory like: maps/stones and etc. And there is nothing on the disc. I did installed basic images and medium images library: no idea where images went.
Now, in package only one disc was included and I saw in forums that people mentioned sample dvd: should that also be included when we bought the 3dsmax and reseller just forgot to sent it?
Really appreciate any help.

The 3dsmax.mat issue was an omission from all DVDs and the subscription downloads - see this blog.

There should, as far as I can tell, be 2 DVDs. There are certainly 2 downloads (subscription users) and the majority of the material libraries are in the 2nd download - equivalent to a 2nd DVD. Max 9 was the last version supplied on a single DVD, so I would contact your reseller and request a copy of the 2nd DVD.

Max 4.2 through 2013.
XP-64 (SP2)
NVidia 9800GTX-512 (Driver 266.58).
Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz, 8Gb Ram, DX9.0c.
