Hello All:

After upgrading to Max 2009, I have noticed that our computers have really slowed down when a job is rendering on backburner. I checked the windows performance tab to see that 99% of my CPU is being used and almost all my RAM as well. This didn’t happen with the previous version of Max. Perhaps there is a setting to allocate how much processing/ RAM power to use. I’m not sure. If there is such an option where we can configure the defaults to use 60% of RAM/ processing power, that would solve my problem.

I can lower the affinity and number of processors used from my task manager which solves my problem but every time a new job starts, I’m back to square one!

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks.
