Hi All,
Not sure what is going on here but the “create camera from view” is grayed out in the menu; Any thoughts why?
Notes:
* If I open 3Ds Max 9 with loading nothing the “create camera from view” is not grayed out in the menu?
* The file I have opened is an old one; it was made in the 3Ds Max version 7. Then opened in Max 9
* When I open the file I get a dialog box asking for the Wildtanged Plugin that says:
“FileName: WildTangent.dlu Class:WtActorNode SuperClass:0x9003”
* I have done nothing to the file but opened it and rendered it out the Character Studio animation as a .PNG images sequence.
Repro Steps
1. Open 3Ds Max 9
2. Open older 3Ds Max 7 file
3. Notice the dialog box asking for the Wildtanged Plugin
Cameras
* Notice the “create camera from view” is grayed out
Thanks in advance :-)

Wildtangent was/is an export module - see maxplugins.de and search there for “wild”.
It was not part of a standard install of Max.
Loading a Max7 file in Max9 does not cause the missing plugin error - loading your files does because whoever created them had the plugin installed.
Create Camera from View only works on a Perspective viewport - it is greyed out if the current viewport is an Orthographic view or is already a Camera view.

Yep, you got that one right! :-)
I was trying to do this on the “Top” view.
Thanks for the help and quick reply :-)
