I rendered AO passes for a recent animation and the shading is slightly off.  I have checked the files...no camera movement or changes.  just a material change to AO material and then a render.

any ideas?

I know you say nothing moved but something moved...did you bump it at all? Re-render the standard pass again and see if that is it…

Any chance something had a Displacement map in the material?  The AO pass would not have that displacement, and therefore the geometry could render at a different size/shape.  Just a thought…

I assumed that when he didn’t bother to come back and expand or say “I got it” that there was a simple explanation and he was far too embarrassed to say...? (#MonthOldThread)
