I am trying to add light to my scene and pretty much like the result of the daylight system but when the daylight system target a plane with alpha the polygons show as black. can anyone explain me a work around or what I do wrong?

thank you in advance.

I had same kind of problems in the past using standard materials (with an opacity map) and MR renderer. I did replace these materials with Arch & Design with a stand alone alpha map in cutout slot and now it works perfectly.

Arch and Design solved the problem, just alot more work because you cant use the material override and need to make a multi-sub mat but it work.

thx, if anyone as the technique of doing it in the vray plz let me know.
Also where do you put the specular map in arch and design? -.-

specular should go in reflection colour. You then turn the reflection amount upto full if you want to fully use the map, or down a lttle to tweak the effect :)
